Making the Most of Your Home
Creating an Environment that Supports You

Creating an Environment that Supports You

Making the Most of your Home

We have always passionately believed in making the very best of what is already to hand, ever more relevant in the present economic climate.  For so long we have all been subversively encouraged to buy into the philosophy of "more" and "cheap".  Both come at a hidden price. "More" often doesn't satisfy us for long and can leave us with a sense of emptiness.  "Cheap" often doesn't last more than a season, leaving us to scramble around the shops once again looking for yet another replacement. Whatever happened to "the best"?  Quality in the home environment has a direct effect on how rich we feel at heart.  Less is often more.  A few cherished items made with loving care in the very best materials work wonders on the soul of our home.

It is, however, inately human to want to develop and improve, possibly even an evolutionary trait.   Our homes live and breathe with us, and as we grow and change we naturally look to make adjustments in our living environment.  What better way to express who we are than with fabric?  It is a creative medium which allows us to design something unique to us.  No two people are alike, and by the same token no two homes.  Surely that's the beauty of it.  Individuality, not High Street-ality.  Fashioning a home in a style that reflects our personality and our needs strengthens us inwardly and rebuilds our energy ready to take on the next day afresh and with inspired enthusiasm.

  • Cushions and throws are a fabulous way of rejuvenating your surroundings, of bringing a tired decor up to date.  Fabrics come in a wide range of colours and textures, so if you are looking for something special on a budget but don't want to compromise on quality Designer Cushions and Throws is here to help.
  • Picking out one of the base colours of a room and enhancing or complementing it with the latest colours on the market will bring your space to life, at a fraction of the cost of a total makeover.
  • Add opulent textures and make a feature with some unusual shapes and sizes
  • Use textural contrasts, such as silk on a wicker chair, or contrasting colours such as pink and yellow, brown and turquoise
  • Create a 3D canvas in splashes or pools of colour.
  • Why follow a trend, when you can make your own?  Create an environment that supports you and your lifestyle and aspirations, not the aspirations of a High Street Retail Outlet, or some media lifestyle "guru".
  • Remember: Light and colour nurture the spirit and help to harness energy, to amplify space and to generate feelings of optimism and goodwill.
  • Remove things that fail to inspire you, making space for the things that do
  • Look for fair trade and environmentally friendly products.  You will feel good and your home will look good too
